How to brew a great pour over.

If you haven't yet figured out your own style and preferences, use this as a guide to make a great cup of pour over coffee.


  1. Heat water to 200°

  2. Grind to sand like consistency.

  3. Place mug & pour over cone on a scale.

  4. Pour twice the amount of water as you have coffee in a swirling motion.

  5. Let soak for 30 seconds.

  6. Pour the remainder of the ratio of water slowly over the grounds.

Specialty Coffee Association of American Guidelines

The SCAA suggests a ratio of water to coffee at 16:1. This means for every one gram of coffee you should add one gram or milliliter of water.
